It's Canadian Children's Book Week and the Weyburn Public Library is hosting a week full of events.

Today they are hosting a potato book character dress up at 3:45 p.m. Registration for this event is appreciated.

On Thursday evening they are reading bedtime stories for ages one to eight years old.

"Just come, bring the kids, just drop-in. We'll be reading some stories before bed and feel to wear pyjamas and teddy bears are welcome as well," shared children's program director for the library Cora-Lynn Sexton.

They are also holding a contest for children throughout the week.

"If you check out a children's book or a juvenile book or become a new member of the library with getting a new library card you can put your name in the draw for a prize package of children's books," said Sexton.

On Saturday they held a children's book character dress up, book reading and games to kick-off Children's Book Week.
