The Moose Jaw Police Service has provided an update as well as issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant following a homicide earlier this week.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue Northeast on Tuesday morning around 1:20 am for a report of an injured male. Upon arrival, police and paramedics located the victim and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

More information was released just before noon on Wednesday, and the victim has been identified as 21-year-old Bailey Anderson.

According to police 19-year-old, Tyrel Munroe allegedly stabbed Anderson and fled the scene that evening before officers arrived. They have issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant for Munroe, who also may be known as Tyrel Peequaqat. He has been charged with Murder and Breach of Probation.

The suspect and victim were reportedly known to each other, and the incident occurred because of an altercation between the two.

Munroe is considered armed and dangerous. The police are asking residents not to approach him if he's spotted, and he could possibly be in the Regina area.

Officers are also looking for 25-year-old Kristen Desjarlais in connection with this incident, as she is considered a person of interest. The police are not sure if the two suspects are together; however, they both have connections to the Queen City.

While the Police Service continues to investigate, anyone with information is asked to contact 306-694-7600, or you can submit a tip anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
