The Weyburn Whitecap Resources Bantam AA Wings open their season Friday night when they head to Estevan to take on the TS&M Bruins at Affinity Place. The game will be the opening game of the season for both squads.

The Wings have had success in preseason games so far this year, including against the Bruins. The Bantam AA Wings picked up a 3-2 victory at the beginning of the preseason, and then the two teams skated to a 2-2 tie in the final tune-up before the regular season began.

The Wings will play their home opener Saturday afternoon. The Prince Albert Pirates will be in town as they make a swing through the southeast.
