A busy weekend for Weyburn Minor Hockey. While the Atom AA Panther Drilling Wings will be hosting a tournament at home, other teams across age groups will be on the ice. Outside of Weyburn, a number of other area teams will be action.

Senior

For the area senior hockey teams, it will be a busy schedule. It all starts on Friday night when the Kipling/Windthorst Oil Kings host the Wawota Flyers in Big Six action.

In the QVHL, the Milestone Flyers travel to Balgonie to take on the Bisons.

Saturday, the Big Six picks up with two more games. The Yellow Grass Wheat Kings head to Wawota to play the Flyers, while the Redvers Rockets host the Bienfait Coalers.

Two area teams will be in action in the QVHL on Saturday. The Milestone Flyers will play host to the Whitewood Orioles, while the Odessa/Vibank Bruins take a trip to Grenfell to face the Spitfires.

There is just one game Sunday in the Big Six, as the Wheat Kings play the Oxbow Huskies at home.

Junior C

The Yellow Grass Junior C Wheat Kings are in action Saturday night. They take on the Esterhazy Tundra at 7:00 p.m.

Midget AAA

The Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings will be taking in the Regina Rebels in a home-and-home on the weekend. It begins Saturday night at Crescent Point Place, as the Rebels come to the Opportunity City. Sunday, the two teams meet again in Regina.

Midget AA

The John Hulbert Construction Wings will be off on the road this weekend. They begin on Friday in Lumsden, where they take on the Lumsden/Bethune Lions. Saturday they make the trip to Estevan to face the Midget Bruins.

Midget A

The Radville Nats will be on the ice in MMMHL action Sunday. They head to Estevan to face the Bears. On Sunday, Milestone will travel to Arcola.

Midget A Female

The Southeast TS & M Gold Wings will be at home in Midale for a pair of games on the weekend. Saturday, they take on the Southwest Cyclones. The two teams meet up again for a rematch Sunday afternoon.

Bantam A

The Knight Dodge Wings will be at home in Crescent Point Place on Saturday afternoon. They play host to the Regina Buffalos.

Bantam B

It will be a busy weekend for the two Bantam B teams in the city. Saturday, the Youngfellow Wings head to Moose Jaw to take on the Royals. The two teams return to Weyburn Sunday for a rematch at the Tom Zandee Sports Arena.

The Co-op Wings will be at home Saturday night as they take on the Moose Jaw Oilers.

Bantam Female

The Weyburn Creekside Carwash Wings will be on the road Saturday. They take the trip up to Pilot Butte to take on Prairie Storm.

Pee Wee AA

The Youngfellow Wings are on the road this weekend. They head up to Yorkton for a pair of games against the Pee Wee Terriers. The first game is Friday night at the Farrell Agencies Arena. Saturday, the two teams meet up for an early evening affair at the Yorkton Kinsmen Arena.

Pee Wee

The RP Automotive Wings, fresh off their medal-winning performance in Sidney, Montana, are on the road this weekend. They travel to Estevan to take on the Thunder Saturday. On Sunday, the Kinsmen Wings will be at home as they entertain the Radville Nats Red team.

Pee Wee Female

The Canadian Tire Angels have just one game on the docket this weekend. They will be at home to the Balcarres Barracudas on Sunday for a matinee affair at Crescent Point Place.

Atom

A few games for Atom teams in the SEMHL this weekend. The Midale Mustangs entertain Ogema Bengough Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Weyburn AtoMc Blue Is on the road to Torquay for a game. Sunday, Torquay pays a visit to Weyburn for a rematch with AtoMc Blue, while Weyburn AtoMc Black heads to Midale to take on the Mustangs.

Atom Female

The Weyburn DQ Blizzards head to southwest Saskatchewan for three games in two days in SaskFHL action. They take on the Swift Current Thunder Saturday afternoon and then head to Gull Lake to take on the Southwest Cyclones that evening. Sunday, they close out the trip against the Thunder with a rematch in Swift Current.
