Your Summer Fun Crew spent this exciting, entertaining, and HOT afternoon at Heritage Village for Heritage Village Days.  The event tied in with the 2018 Wheat Festival and had a very successful first day.

The afternoon kicked off with the opening ceremonies at noon.  Then, there were various acts throughout the day for entertainment.  Some of these performances included De Tricky Feet Dance Studio, Alfredo, and Karissa Hoffart.  There will also be entertaiment by local and regional talent on Saturday.

The houses and other buildings in the village were open as well.  It was very informative and interesting to learn about the homes and the people who lived in them.  Check out our gallery below to see your Summer Fun Crew having a laugh in the jail and school!

Different demonstrations also happened throughout the entire day.  People could watch the outdoor oven, ropemaking, blacksmithing, and the antique steam engine.  You could go for a ride in the antique fire truck all afternoon, too.  Kids also enjoyed the face painting.

A canteen was available for a bite to eat.  Along with BBQ burgers and hot dogs, they sold their delicious homemade pies with ice cream.  They offered a whole pie or just a slice.

This was a wonderful start to this year's Wheat Festival.  There will be tons of things happening tomorrow for Heritage Village Days too, so don't forget to go check it out!

For now, take a look at our awesome gallery :)
