Family Day gave Weyburn and Area families the opportunity to take part in activities made available by the City of Weyburn.

Winterfest 2018 was organized and run by the City Parks Department. They had a bonfire started by the Weyburn Fire Department in the Park parking lot by the outdoor rink. Free hot dogs and hot chocolate were handed out to the public as well by the Rotary club.

"We had a scavenger hunt as well with prizes," explained Linda Prokott, Parks Coordinator.

Cross Country skiing and snowshoeing had to be cancelled due to lack of snow.

It was a cool day with a daytime high of -16 but that did not stop the public from taking part.

"We had approximately 100 people come out for that and there were quite a few people that went out on the scavenger hunt."

Children were also able to go on the fire trucks.

Leisure Services for the City of Weyburn held a craft activity facilitated by Weyburn's Art Council members. They also held a free swim at the Leisure Centre and a free skate at the Tom Zandee Sports Arena.
