After a difficult year of navigating through all of the various pandemic-related obstacles, the Weyburn Kinclub is wrapping up for the summer by getting the Kinsmen Park ready for visitors.

"Over the last two weeks we decided to go look at Kinsmen Park to see what we can do to improve it a little bit and we noticed that we have our volleyball poles but no net," shared Incoming President for the club for next year Rebecca Bonokoski. "So as a club we decided to purchase two nets so we can replace it if we need to over the summer. The hope is to get a few more people out than we did last year to play. It's an adjustable net so you can use it for all sizes including kids."

She added that they did notice a number of holes in the ground around the park and said that the club will be filling them in over the next few weeks to ensure the safety of anyone that chooses to visit over the summer.

"We just had our final meeting to wrap up the year and we did get three new members," Bonokoski stated. "So we're always looking for new members in our club."

Bonokoski did mention that the club is currently planning for the fall and said that they might be doing a car bingo tournament or a volleyball tournament. They will be seeking sponsors and more people to join them when they unveil their future plans.
