As Summer officially ends this week with the first day of Autumn falls on September 22nd, the camping season also comes to an end.

"The camping season is done as of today, September 15th," said Lisa Dennis, Park Manager for Nickle Lake.

"We don't have any of the daily nightly campers in the park but the seasonal campers are still in here for a little bit longer, they just have to be out by the end of the month."

Dennis also said that season campers not returning next year need to have all property removed by the end of the month.

Those who are returning to the park next year are allowed to leave decks and sheds, which they may have left behind.

"Basically making sure the park is clean and tidy, shutting the power off, shutting the water off, cleaning out the lines, taking the docks out of the water," Dennis said when asked what is need to be done in the park for the end of the season.

The warm weather helped keep numbers up at the Lake and Dennis reported on a consistently high level of campers throughout the summer.

This year an activities organiser for the park was a positive addition to the park who put on programs for children and the plan is to do the same next year.
