Two games last night in the SJHL. You can read about the Weyburn Red Wings win over Melville here.

In the other contest, it was the Humboldt Broncos picking up their first win of the season. They defeated the Notre Dame 2–0 on the road in Wilcox.

Dane Dow stopped all 32 shots he faced for his first SJHL shutout. Brayden Camrud opened the scoring just 55 seconds into the contest with Daunte Fortner and Zach McIntyre picking up assists. Owen Guenter scored the insurance marker with 1:46 to go. It was the first goal of his SJHL career.

The Hounds threw 12 shots at the net in both the second and third period but couldn't solve Dow.
