A handful of runners took part in an early season road race Sunday, the Regina Hypo. Short for hypothermic because runners typically battle frigid temperatures in this annual February road race.

This year conditions were excellent and propelled Weyburn's Luke Dillen to an impressive 2nd place finish in the 10K with a time 52:15.

Dan Leas placed 6th overall and 3rd among men in the 5K running it in 28:26.

Meagan Dillen also ran the 5K and finished 6th amongst women and 12th overall with a time of 35:28.

Local runners are preparing to host Weyburn's annual race on June 21st, Fathers Day. Registration for the Souris River Run, formerly the Opportunity Road Race is open at Souris River Run 2020.
