Weyburn Police officers were busy last Friday night, as they were dispatched to the scene of a domestic dispute.

When officers arrived, they saw evidence of a motor vehicle collision and multiple people under the influence of alcohol.

“We went down as a result of a domestic situation, and when the members got down there, we realized that the domestic had been sorted out,” said Police Chief Jamie Blunden. “But unfortunately, one of the individuals tried to leave in a vehicle got into an accident, and that person was under the influence.”

The impaired driver was arrested and given an alcohol screening device which they failed. They were arrested and charged accordingly, and have an upcoming court date.
