E. Bourassa & Sons have been holding very special BBQ's over the summer. These BBQ's were fundraising events for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

"This year we had six BBQ's, every Wednesday, and we had a number of community members come out and support, it was so fantastic," says Britney Fisher, Marketing Coordinator for E. Bourassa & Sons.

Besides the citizens of Weyburn donating, some local businesses contributed as well.

"We also had other big people step up to the game and help us out, we had Regens Disposal, Wilhelm Construction and Goliath Disposal also come and approach us and wanted to donate some big dollars," says Fisher.

The BBQ's were a success due to the hard work from the staff at E. Bourassa's.

"It's just so humbling to see the community come together for such a fantastic fundraiser and we were able to raise $2741.55," says Fisher.

The proceeds will be presented during the JDRF TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes on November 5th.

If you are still wishing to donate you can contact E.Bourassa's or visit the JDRF TELUS page.
