The 2018/2019 season, unfortunately, came to an end for the Weyburn Red Wings this past weekend with their loss in the Survivor Series. While the end to the season is always a tough pill to swallow, it was even tough for seven members of the Wings.

For those seven players, they won't suit up to play junior hockey ever again. After countless hours of practice, travelling, warmups, off-season training and all the time spent as a kid playing hockey, this is the end of the road for some of them. Others will have opportunities to play while going to school or going overseas to play pro, but for some this is it.

It's an emotional time for all of them and emotional for the organization and billets around town who have to say goodbye to boys who became a part of their family. They have all left their mark on Weyburn.

We'll take a look at the careers of the seven graduating Red Wings.

*all stats include regular season and playoff games played in Junior A hockey.

Ty Brown: 241 games played, 55 goals, 59 assists, 114 points, 259 PIMS

One of the longest tenured Red Wings of all-time, Ty spent four seasons wearing the Red Wings sweater. The hometown boy would eventually become the captain of the team he grew up supporting. In his final season, Brown notched 200 regular season games played and also his 100th career point.

He's experienced the ups and downs of junior hockey during his time and remained a leader on and off the ice for the Red Wings. A soft-spoken guy, Ty often led by example and is a guy everyone loved to play with. He always had his teammates backs and was a tremendous character guy in the locker room.

His hockey career may not be over quite yet, however. Brown has had interest from schools in the United States and multiple scouts have watched him play during the season. He said he's not ready to commit just yet.

The Red Wings and the City of Weyburn will definitely miss his face around the rink and in a Red Wings uniform.

During his short two seasons with the Red Wings, Sean made his mark as a skilled scorer who could take over games.
