It's a record that continues to fall in the province.

 

Job numbers in Saskatchewan continue to be at a premium.
More than 500 thousand people were working in the province last month.
Statistics Canada releasing Saskatchewan's job numbers for the month of August.

That's the 17th straight month for record job numbers in the province.

Moose Jaw North MLA Glenn Hagel says this benefits everyone in the province including the economy, higher population, lower taxes, more jobs and the future of the province is looking good and the Saskatchewan is on a roll.

Construction, manufacturing and retail and wholesale are the areas leading the way for job growth in the province.

The unemployment rate was up 4.9% last month... up from 4.8% the previous month.
But it's a significant drop from August 2006 when the rate was 5.3%
