A key part of the Weyburn Red Wings first half of the season has been traded. Twenty-year-old goaltender Riley Lamb is now a member of the Yorkton Terriers.

Lamb left the team back on December 14 and did not return. He was dealt today in exchange for goalie Ben Laidlaw as well as defencemen Parker Gavlas and Christian Reimer.

In 26 games Lamb posted a 9–13–3 record with a 3.43 goals against average and a .912 save percentage. The 19-year-old Laidlaw meanwhile has a 9–6–1 record this season with a 4.55 GAA and .866 save percentage. Both Gavlas ('99) and Reimer ('00) are currently with WHL clubs.

Gavlas has suited up for 20 games with the Edmonton Oil Kings and tallied two assists and 18 penalty minutes in those contests. Reimer has spent this season with the Swift Current Broncos and has four assists in 26 games.

The Red Wings and Terriers will meet three more times this season, with the first matchup coming up on January 5.
