While it may just be exhibition action, tickets for the upcoming preseason games between the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings and the Estevan Bruins at Crescent Point Place are some of the most sought-after tickets in the city.

With the SJHL putting a limit on the number of fans that can be in attendance for the games, the Red Wings have had to come up with a way for the tickets to be released. The team has put into a place a plan that will see season ticket holders get the first crack at the tickets through a draw. Team president Brent Stephanson said anyone who has purchased a season ticket before the end of the business day on Wednesday will be entered.

“We’ll enter your name into the draw drum,” Stephanson explained. “On Thursday, we’re going to be drawing names out of the draw drum so you’ll be allowed to buy your ticket, or up to a maximum of two tickets, for this Friday’s game.”

Those who don’t have their name drawn will go back into the barrel, and another draw will be held prior to the game on October 30th at Crescent Point Place.

Stephanson added masks must be properly worn at all times by spectators in the arena, and physical distancing must be observed as well.
