The Pee Wee AA Young Fellow Wings remain undefeated on the season, after coming away with a win and a tie against the Melville Pee Wee Millionaires on the weekend. They now have a record of 10-0-2 on the season.

Saturday, the two teams met at Crescent Point Place and skated to a 6-6 draw. Melville opened the scoring, with goals from Carter McKay and Kayden Gillis, but the Wings would respond before the end of the first period. Wyatt Lacoste scored his seventh marker of the season, an unassisted, short-handed goal.

Melville extended their lead to start out the second period when McKay picked up a power-play marker. Weyburn then worked to tie things up before the end of the frame.

Noel Englot scored just before the halfway mark of the period, assisted by Lacoste. Carter Skarbon then took a feed from Ty Mason and made it a 3-3 game.

Melville took the lead again before the second was over, as Ty Ulmer scored, but Connor Kerr made it even once again just 50 seconds later, as Lacoste assisted for his third point of the game. Melville was determined, though, to be the first team to beat the Wings this season.

Just 18 seconds into the third period, Connor Miller made it a 5-4 game, then Reese Hamilton scored with just over six minutes remaining to make it 6-4. With their backs to the wall, the Pee Wee Wings dug deep to even things up once again.

Just 18 seconds after the Hamilton goal, Quinn Mantei made it 6-5, with Mason assisting. Van Eger then scored two and a half minutes after that, assisted by Samuel Borschowa and Mason. Neither team was able to break the tie in the remaining three minutes, and both collected a point.

Sunday morning, the two teams met for a rematch at Crescent Point Place. While the Millionaires were once again the first to score, the outcome would be more in the favour of the home team.

McGillis notched the first goal for the Millionaires with the goal coming five minutes into the second period, but then Lacoste would reply for Weyburn, assisted by Englot, and Karter Haupstein. Lacoste then finished off his five-point weekend performance with a go-ahead goal just three minutes later, assisted by Mantei.

The lead would be short-lived for the Wings. McKay would score once again for Melville before the end of the middle frame, with his power-play marker evening the score at 2-2.

In the third period, it would take just five minutes for Weyburn to regain their lead, as Mantei scored his eighth of the season, an unassisted goal. It would stand to be the game-winner for the Wings.

The next league game for the Wings will be on December 16th. They travel to Moose Jaw to take on the Pee Wee Warriors.
