Regional Kids First are an organization that works with communities in Southeast Saskatchewan to promote early childhood development through various programs and events.

They have a free online parenting course coming up in February and March that they are offering to parents in our area called "Nobody's Perfect" that you may want to consider attending.

"This is a great program for parents of children that are prenatal to age five," told Madeleine Valentine, Regional KidsFirst Community Liaison. "The important thing is that it does not teach one right way to parent but helps parents to recognize the strengths that they already have. To find positive ways to raise happy and healthy children. The class will give parents a safe place to talk and think about their lives, their children, and their role as parents."

The Nobody's Perfect free parenting program is limited to eight families and will begin on February 2nd, 2021.

"We are going to hold the program on Tuesday afternoons from one to three," Valentine explained. "It's open to all parents of children five and under in Southeast Saskatchewan. We usually do these types of programs in person but due to COVID-19, we are now offering the program virtually through Microsoft Teams. So all someone would need to take part in that is a computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection. Our registration is also online and the link can be found on our Regional KidsFirst Facebook page. We also have our posters out at schools and other local centers that have a QR code on them. You can register with that code and it's pretty easy to use. You just open up your cellphone camera, point it at the code, and the registration page will pop up. We really hope to see a lot of families register and take part. And we'll take registrations all the way up to the day of the event unless we fill up."

The sessions will be taking place on February 2, 9, 16, 23, and March 2 & 9. They will be held online through Microsoft Teams on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm.
