The Weyburn McDonald's is inviting the community to come together on McHappy Day to help sick children across Canada.

The day of delicious fundraising is set for Wednesday, May 3.

"Small purchases make a big difference in the lives of thousands of parents with sick and healing children," said Amir Aminpour, owner and operator of the Weyburn McDonald's. "One dollar from every Big Mac sandwich, Happy Meal, and hot McCafe beverage sold in McDonald's restaurants will go to Ronald Mcdonald House of Charities Campaign."

The Ronald McDonald House supports families with sick children while they are receiving treatment. Two children in the Weyburn area have been benefactors of the Ronald McDonald House.

Ronald McDonald Houses provide families of sick children with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital. As well, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comfortable place for families to rest and recharge, right inside hospitals and, through Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles, the charity brings basic medical care to vulnerable communities. Their goal is to keep families together so children can heal better.
