While the snow may be falling, not many may be thinking of humming “Winter Wonderland” this morning. Weyburn received roughly an inch of snow overnight, with more expected in the morning hours.

The snowfall coming after some light rain, leaving a thin sheen of ice on some surfaces underneath the snow.

Temperatures are expected to stay close to the 0° mark for most of the day, with a forecast high of 3° for the afternoon. It will be accompanied by a stiff wind, though, with gusts upwards of 50 km/h expected from the northwest.

The snow could be sticking around for a while as well.

The temperatures are expected to drop down again overnight, getting close to -14 with the wind chill. And while it may warm up a bit tomorrow, there is more snow expected Thursday night, and Friday morning.
