Two men were pronounced dead on the scene of a head-on collision on the TransCanada Highway west of Moose Jaw Thursday afternoon.

Moose Jaw RCMP received complaints just after 1 p.m. of a brown van travelling the wrong way on the highway near Parkbeg. Minutes later, RCMP, EMS, and the Caronport Volunteer Fire Department and the Protection and Response Team were called to a head-on collision.

The 86-year-old driver of the van from Regina and the driver of the second vehicle, who was a 56-year-old man from Central Butte, were both deceased when emergency services arrived.

RCMP said the names of the victims will not be released and the investigation is ongoing.
