The future for Weyburn’s Ethan Ernst is getting a little clearer. The 16-year-old forward, who spent last season with the Notre Dame Hounds Midget AAA squad, signed with the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL this week.

Ernst was a part of a Hounds team which dominated the SMAAAHL this past season. He picked up 35 points in 41 games during the regular season, his first as a midget player. In the playoffs, he picked things up with 11 points, and then added seven points in the seven games played in the West Regionals and the Telus Cup, as the Hounds won the national championship.
