Mainprize Regional Park will host a Cornhole Tournament this Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

"To date, we have over 16 teams registered. The winner will receive 50 percent of the payout," said Park Manager Michelle Walsh.

Registration is $50 per team

"We've got food specials, there'll be a bar service, and it's a great event for everyone to even come out and watch," she shared. "It's a great way for our campers, our residents, anyone who just decides to come out to the park for a day to just all get together in Pederson and visit and watch the games go on. It's always a really good community type event here and enjoyed by almost all."

Pederson Place, she noted, is an indoor location, in case of incelement weather.

"Also, it's a fun way so that we can offer the bar service, and we've got music going there. We'll have a 50/50, there's Taco in a bag, hot dogs and the bar service. So it's a great little fundraising way to put some money back into our events here in the park," she said, adding they will have the big door open for those who want to access the outdoors.

Registration will stay open until Saturday morning.

"That way, if, all of a sudden on Saturday, there's a little bit of rain or drizzle and some of our farm friends want to join us, they're definitely more than welcome to come get in on the action and have a fun day out."

She said they had an excellent turnout last year and are hoping for the same this year.
