Just as many residents have been busy helping each other out, with many sightings of strangers helping to push a stuck car out of the deep snow. As much as 20 centimetres of snow had fallen on Weyburn by Monday morning and it continued to fall throughout the day.

The City of Weyburn is waiting for the snowfall to cease before clearing the roads. Beginning just before midnight tonight, and through Tuesday morning, snow clearing will be conducted along Coteau Avenue, 18th Street, 13th Street, Douglas Road, and East Avenue. On Tuesday, snow clearing operations will continue along primary and secondary routes on 16th Street, Government Road, First Avenue, Railway Avenue, Fifth Avenue North and Third Street South. The City is asking residents to avoid street parking in these areas and that motorists avoid these areas altogether. They also ask that motorists use patience and caution around snow removal operations.

Snow clearing operations following this event will be performed on a city-wide basis, including residential areas. Updated schedules will be provided on a regular basis until operations are complete.
