Grand openings are always exciting, especially for places like The Family Place. It has taken a lot of hard work and preparation to reach this point and now the date is set! 

Executive Director, Dawn Gutzke shares her enthusiasm, “It's such exciting times. We have finished moving everything and we've been spending the last week unpacking and getting settled in and just making the new centre into our home. It's coming along great. We're very excited. And we can't wait to kick it off with our grand opening.” 

The event is set to kick off Friday, September 29th at 10:00 a.m. and run until 2:00 p.m. 

 “Everyone is welcome to join us, gather around in our green space area, and we'll have our official presentation with the red ribbon cutting. Following that, we're just going to have an open house. People can come on in and tour around. We're also going to have a BBQ going on outside, so some burgers and hot dogs and refreshments. And yeah, we're just going to try and make it an exciting day for the community.”
