The Weyburn Bantam AA Whitecap Wings erased a 5-2 third period deficit only to fall 6-5 in overtime to the visiting Yorkton Bantam Terriers.

The Terriers kicked off the first period with three goals, though Weyburns Karter Haupstein with the help of Kaden MacLean and Wyatt LaCoste was able to get one in for the Wings, ending the period with a 3-1 lead for Yorkton.

In the second period, the Terriers capitalized on a power play to bring the score up to 4-1, but that goal was quickly matched by Wyatt LaCoste to close the second period out 4-2.

Despite an early goal from the Terriers in the third period. the Wings fought tooth and nail to bring their score up to match the Terriers. Kaden MacLean, Wyatt LaCoste, and Noel Englot were each able to bring the score up to an even 5-5 when the third period came to a close.

Unfortunately, Matthew Ronn of the Terriers was able to score the game-winning goal in overtime to wrap the game up with a 6-5 loss for the Whitecap Wings.

The Wings play again today when they face off against the Regina Pat Blues at Crescent Point Place.
