The Toronto Blue Jays had the brooms out in Oakland yesterday.

The Jays fell 5-4 to the A's in 11 innings with Oakland avoiding a 3 game sweep.

Jays reliever Scott Downs allowed a game ending double in the bottom of the 11th that gave Oakland the victory.

Toronto now sits one game above the .500 mark and will have the day off today to travel home and get ready for a 3 game weekend series against Seattle.

The Jays are 7 games back of the M's and Yankees for the American League Wildcard.
