The 'More the Butter and Sugar' artist reception was held Friday night at the Weyburn Art Gallery. In her artist talk, Sarah Cummings Truszkowski shared she has been an artist for over 40 years and currently teaches art classes in her home studio.
Comprising 23 pieces, the art exhibition spanned a meticulous three-year journey to fruition. Tracing her creative roots, Cumming Truszkowski explained how her mother and grandmother's influence inspired her art, which serves as a poignant homage to motherhood and the intimate bond between parent and child. Within the whimsical title, "More the Butter and Sugar," lies a profound metaphor, symbolizing the love interwoven within the hands that shape delectable treats.
