The registration deadline is coming up on Friday for the pARTy on the Hill. This will be the third year of the event, which takes place at the Signal Hill Arts Centre during the Wheat Festival in August.

“It is a 100 per cent hand made arts and crafts sale,” said City Curator Regan Lanning. “We will be set up outside on the beautiful, maintained grounds of the Signal Hill Arts Centre. Last year we had about 30 artists set up, and this year we're hoping for even more. It's taking place as part of the Wheat Festival taking place at Heritage Village, and we're just up the hill.”

Artists pay only $25 for a table.

“Weyburn Arts Council keeps our prices low, because if you do not support our artists, our artists leave, and what is a community without art?” she posed.

“We have photographers, painters, traditional potters, we have ceramicists, fibre artists, knitters, crochet, quilting, we have a chocolatier, bakers, if it’s made locally and it’s done with hands, and it’s there and it is an absolute who’s who of the Weyburn art world,” said Lanning.

“Local non-profits are invited to come and set up with us,” she added. “We don't even charge you a registration fee, you can have a space. We have tons of space up there. Bring your own table and you and set up along with us and help spread the word about the wonderful work you do in our wonderful community.”

The event takes place on August 10th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
