The Southern Saskatchewan Peewee Elite Lacrosse Club won the gold medal at the PeeWee 'A' Provincials in Regina over the weekend. The Elite is made up of players from Weyburn, Moose Jaw, Swift Current and Estevan.

Seven players represented Weyburn on the team, including Sawyer Leko, Ryder Hignett, Spencer Bell, Jack Missal, Vann Dennis, Hunter Willowby and Brody Morrice. The team was coached by Weyburn's Matt Dalton and Chuck Hignett.

The Elite went 3–0 over the weekend and knocked off Regina 6–1 in the final to claim gold. Ryder Hignett was named Tournament MVP for the division.

This was the first year in 'A' Provincials for the Elite team.
