Team South East is currently sitting in 5th in the Medal Standings with 35 medals. Six of them were harvested by Weyburn's Canoe and Kayak Club in Friday's competitions.

CANOE AND KAYAK

Savannah Pohl and Alexis Verdermey won Gold in the 200 Metre Canoe event.

Evan Barsness and Mitch Tuchscherer won Gold in the Men's 4000 Metre.

Mitch Tuscherer also won gold, along with Jamie Labbie, in the Mixed 200 Metre event.

Pohl, Tuscherer, Barsness, and Arliss Sidloski pulled in a silver medal in the 1000 Metre 4-person Canoe.

Sidloski and Barsness also gained a Silver in the 1000 Metre Kayak, and Barsness pulled in a Bronze in the Men's 4000 Metre Kayak.

In earlier events, Drew Barsness and Savannah Pohl took the bronze in the C-2 4000m mix. The K-2 1000m female bronze was taken by Lorynn Labbie and Savannah Pohl. The K-2 4000m male bronze was won by Erik Barsness and Mason Thackeray. Arliss Sidloski and Alexis Vandermay won the c-2 female 4000m bronze.

SWIMMING

Many of Weyburn's medals came from other aquatic events.

Aden Dickenson won the gold in the male 100 metre backstroke.

He also picked up a bronze in the male 100 M fly.

Hannah Mantei took bronze in the 200m female backstroke.

The Southeast A relay team took bronze in the 4x100m female freestyle.

VOLLEYBALL

Both the male and female teams lost their first game yesterday, then won their second.

They are scheduled to play their next games Saturday morning.

The female team includes Weyburn players Chandler Dickie, Jacey Rowland, and Megan Schmidt.

SOCCER

Team Southeast won its 5th place game, 2 to 1, over Parkland Valley. That was an improvement over their 8th place finish at Meadow Lake.
