Construction crews, SaskPower crews, and members of the community are all coming together following the recent windstorm to clean up the mess that was left behind.

Some crews are working to restore power across Weyburn while others are picking up debris and repairing the damage done by the storm.

"First off I'd like to thank our City crews, SaskPower, our fire department, the police department, our emergency people, and all the people in Weyburn," commented Marcel Roy, Weyburn Mayor. "It really shows they're coming together and trying to help each other out."

The wind storm earlier this week was said to have been the worst in years according to some and brought forth plenty of damage to the city. You can find pictures and videos of the damage here.

"This just again goes to show that the citizens of Weyburn pulled together like they always do to get through emergencies," Roy added.

The City of Weyburn is allowing residents to drop off branches at the landfill free of cost until Friday to help with cleanup following the windstorm.
