It's now been five years since the "Flood of the Century" hit Southeast Saskatchewan.

The flood is still fresh in the memories of people in Weyburn.

But for those in Roche Percee it still feels like yesterday.

Roche Percee Mayor Jim Bragg talks about how the village has helped victims. "Anybody that's a flood victim, and still has the property, they have an opportunity to do a 'lot flop'," said Bragg. "And that way they could be guaranteed to be above the flood plain."

Bragg was among the residents who lost property in the flood. "Well I lost 2 places down in the flood, actually," he added. "I just finished rebuilding one, and am in the stages of rebuilding another."

Roche Percee was one of the areas hardest hit by the flood of 2011.
