The Milestone RCMP confirmed Tuesday afternoon, in a written release, a 46-year-old man succumbed to injuries suffered in a two-vehicle collision northwest of Yellow Grass on Highway 39 Monday morning.

The collision, which happened around 8:30 a.m., was two kilometres outside of Yellow Grass between a pickup truck travelling northwest, and a southeast bound International refrigerated truck. The two men in the reefer truck were not injured. The man driving the pickup, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital in Regina by STARS Air Ambulance, where he later passed away from his injuries.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
