A brand new incentive program from the City of Weyburn. Signing up for pre-authorized utility payments between now and December 15th will enter you into a draw for a chance to win $250 towards your utility bill.

Public Relations Coordinator Adam Hoffart said this is a brand new program.

"I would think it would be a great thing to sign up for, just because then it's peace of mind, you know that your bill is always going to be paid on time and that extra incentive of winning $250 toward your utility bill, who wouldn't want that? That would cover off a significant portion of a couple of utility bills maybe even," he said.

Hoffart noted for those who sign up, the exact amount of your monthly utility bill is withdrawn from your account on the last business day of every month.

"So it automatically leaves your account and transfers the payment that way, as opposed to the traditional method," he said.

He added this is another way to make things a little bit more convenient for the public.
