Sculptor Scott McLeod working on his latest sculpture from a reclaimed pole from Radville's old grain elevator.

Sculptor Scott McLeod is going back to creating large sculptures.

The Radville-based artist has created large sculptures during his career, made from stone and metal. After years of creating unique, handmade guitars, he is going back to his artisitc roots, currently working on a large wooden sculpture from a reclaimed pole from radville's old grain elevator. The piece is entitled 'Mourning Post', and features spirtis on their way to heaven on one side, while tear drops fall down the other side.

Most of the art pieces at his farm are for sale, including his collection of unique guitars, which he calls "sculptures you can interact with." Visit his Skye Sculpture Studio website to view more of this local artist's work.

This eagle sculpture was carved from a boulder that was struck by lightening at one point during it's history. McLeod got it from a field part way between Radville and Weyburn. The sculpture is sold and waiting for it's Vancouver-based owner to pick it up.

McLeod's yard full of unique sculptures is not the only unique thing in his farm yard. Part of his house once belonged to the Western Christian College, formerly of Weyburn.
