The Weyburn Police Service is asking the public for assistance regarding a vandalism incident at Souris School.

The incident occurred on April 29.

“We received the call just indicating that someone walking by the Souris school noticed a broken window,” said Deputy Police Chief Brent VanDeSype. “Actually, the school Division reported they were aware of that and they were getting it repaired. There was a break and enter into the school and some limited vandalism was done inside.”

He added the police service is unaware of anything being stolen, as it was mainly vandalism done to the walls and some mischief.

“It is an ongoing investigation, so if anyone has any information, we'd appreciate it if they gave the Weyburn Police Service a call.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Weyburn Police Service at 306-848-3250, or email Cst Elford at lelford@weyburnpolice.ca.
