The Weyburn Police Service responding to a call after an individual found their own belongings being sold on Facebook.

According to the Weyburn Police Service, the two individuals knew one another, but the seller attempted to take and sell the others tablet online.

"The individuals were known to each other," explained Deputy Police Chief with the Weyburn Police Service, Brent Van De Sype."One of the individuals took it upon themselves and they posted a tablet that belonged to the other individual for sale and it came to the owner's attention."

After seeing their items being sold online, the individual contacted the Weyburn Police Service who attended the situation. Van De Sype explained that it was a unique situation as the item was not forcefully stolen.

"They didn't go out and bust into anything or anything like that," Van De Sype added. "The individuals were known to each other."

Charges are currently pending against the individual who attempted to sell the other individuals tablet.
