In Southern Saskatchewan, snow has been a long time coming for those who snowmobile. After many winters of little to no snow, trails province wide finally have enough snow to enjoy the route rides.

Leah Switzer, Executive Director of Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association shares a snow update, "We've had quite a few years where we had low snow down in the south portion of the province, those clubs have lots of snow this year and are super excited to be opening up their trails. The clubs in the north, there are areas I'm hearing that they have 4 feet of snow and keep getting stuck trying to open up their trails. It is a great year for snow."

Saskatchewan Snowmobile Association gives you the opportunity to see the whole province on a Snowmobile, trails lead wind you through the south and north. Switzer explains, "We currently have over 10,700 km of trails out in the province. It spans through the south we have a lot of prairie fields but also wonderful valleys, up into the north and into the forests all the way to Hudson Bay. In the Wild Cat Provincial Forest, you can only see really in the winter unless your crossing by canoe in the summer."

If you've considered planning a winter break Snowmobile Vacation, you can put together routes and see through Sask Snow's Interactive Map the conditions at any time. Switzer sahres, "Visit our website at Sasksnow.com, on there we have an interactive map, it shows you all of the trails that are in the province. It has them color coded, all of our groomers have a satellite beacon on them that feeds to the map to tell you how long ago those trails have been groomed. It tells you whether the trail is still closed which can be due to a multitude of reasons, all the way to whether it has been groomed in the last five days. You can then plan your trip, you can route plan, see where you want to go, on our website you go to the club directory and reach out to a club and check the conditions in those areas. It's a really cool feature"
