It's been two months since a Carlyle woman went missing and investigators are not giving up in their search.

Sixty-four-year-old Ruby Barnes went missing from Carlyle on June 18. After many tips and possible sightings, authorities are not any closer to locating her.

"We continue to work with our major crimes unit looking for avenues to investigate and try and locate her," shared Staff Sargeant Darren Simons with the Carlyle RCMP. "And we continue to make patrols in areas where we hope to find the vehicle and find information."

Simons said they want to bring the case to a quick resolution but there are limits to what they can do.

"There are options that exist but we have to narrow down an area to look to do those things. We can't be checking every body of water in Saskatchewan for a vehicle."

As for the public, Simons added that people can help simply by keeping their eyes open.

"We'd just like the public to be observant. If they see something, anytime, not just related to this, anything that is out of the ordinary, they don't have to investigate, they can call us."

Anyone with any information on Barnes is urged to call the Carlyle RCMP at 306-453-6707 or their local police service as soon as possible.
