Access to family doctors is improving in the Sun Country Health Region with two new doctors already practicing in two communities.

Dr. Mona Ali has began practice in Arcola and Dr. Constance Ovueni has started work in Estevan.

The two additions are thanks to the Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment (SIPPA) program. SIPPA is a program that assesses International Medical Graduate colleagues practicing in Saskatchewan.

Since it began in 2011, SIPPA has seen more than 160 new family physicians complete their assessment in the province.
