With caucus back in session in the House of Commons, MP for Souris-Moose Mountain, Dr. Robert Kitchen has some plans for putting pressure on the Liberal party and Prime Minsiter Trudeau.

“The most important thing is pointing out the failings the present government has done,” said Dr. Kitchen. “From everything from trade, to taxes, to pipelines. This is our opportunity to point out the big issues that he’s failed to follow up with.”

Kitchen remains critical of the Liberals’ promises made prior to the last federal election.

“He ran on the fact that they were going to have small and temporary deficits, and yet we have huge deficits,” he explained. “And even the last deficit didn’t include the $4.5 billion that they spent to buy a pipeline that can’t be built.”

He noted the $4.5 billion is for the existing pipeline.

“It’s not even for the additional pipeline that’s going to help our oil field,” said Kitchen. “That’s another seven plus billion dollars that’s sitting there.”

He added the economy issues are just a part of the accountability required.

“There’s going to be consequences from a lot of these decisions that this government has done.”
