The site of construction at Crescent Point Place in Weyburn has been a familiar one over the past few years.

Crews are working at both Crescent Point Place and the Tom Zandee Sports Arena right now as those two facilities prepare for a face lift.

City Councillor Bill Rudachyk says, "everything is coming along just fine at the present time. They had a few glitches that came with the demolition with the old portion of the lobby that was there but those things are being addressed. Crews will start putting the blocks on the walls very shortly."

Crescent Point Place will see a new lobby while the Tom Zandee Sports Arena will also get a new lobby with added seating and dressing rooms as part of the renovations.

There are still some hockey schools scheduled for the summer months and Rudachyk says, "the hockey schools and things will be taking place through the Sports Arena but in reality, everything will still be on line and we hope to have everything completed for the hockey season coming up."

The City is still hoping for a September 15th finish for the work to Crescent Point Place.
