A Weyburn favourite, Flavours of Fall, is a chance to taste what food and beverage vendors have to offer in the area, and it returns on October 8th.

As Lisa Vick with the Weyburn Agricultural Society told us this morning, today was the first day that the $20 in-advance event tickets are officially on sale.

"The only place you can get tickets is at Pharmasave. They are not with any [Ag Society] members, they're not at the office. The only place you can get them is down at Pharmasave."

She said they can not guarantee any tickets can be sold at the door, and that will only happen if they don't sell out prior to the event.

The entertainment lineup has also been announced. Richard Beach, a local mainstay performer, will be welcomed back once again this year. He'll start out the evening with an acoustic set, and then Weyburn's own Switch will be playing a variety of covers and songs. "They are going to get you up on the dance floor moving at the end of the night."

With all the sampling of food and beverages, anyone who has out-of-town guests in for the Thanksgiving weekend can purchase enough tickets for everyone to enjoy this annual event.

To ensure everyone gets home safely, Vick said Barber Motors is sponsoring the Safe Ride Home program again this year.

"They've got three vans, and they will be there to transport people at the end of the night," she noted. "We also have transportation to the event, so if you're home and you've enjoyed a few, and you want to get safely to the exhibition hall where we're hosting the event, you can give the Ag Society office a call prior to the event and we will line up a ride to get you there safely."

Vick said they have a wide variety of new and returning vendors, and those who arrive prior to 9:00 p.m. will be entered into a draw for a fully stocked mini fridge.

The doors open at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8th, and will go until 1:00 a.m.

You must be at least 19 years of age, and have identification with you to attend.
