From food to slo-pitch, a car show to the market, Nickle Lake Day will have something for everyone.

This according to Park Manager Sandra Popescu, who noted the event was first held in 2019.

"It was very well received. People really enjoyed it," she commented. "Unfortunately last year with COVID we were unable to have a repeat, so I guess this year now everything is open and everyone ready to do things."

Doyle Larson, she noted, has been spear-heading most of the event planning.

"He's been heading this to get it all organized and set up, and find the sponsors, and he's been amazing at getting all this ready for us so we can have a big day to celebrate the community, and the lake and have some fun."

Live music will begin at 1:30 p.m. with Doug Schaefer, Nelson Schmidt & Ernie Antonie; 3:30 Dale Degenstein & Colleen Butz; 5:30 Richard Beach, and at 8:00 Small Town Famous.

Popescu said any profits made off of the event will go into things like a new sound system.

"Or things like that so we can continue to offer this stuff and continue to improve and grow," she noted.

"There's something for everyone Better Together, wavering with our shirts that we were selling the Better Together camping shirt designs that proceeds from that, and along with Seitz's rentals, is what's sponsoring the bouncy houses. And we also have a huge list of sponsors that have been helping us out with this."
