The road bans have been lifted in the R.M. of Weyburn.
This from Reeve for the RM of Weyburn, Carmen Sterling. She says, " basically road bans are lifted if we feel the frost has come out of the roads sufficient enough that we can go back to the regular weights being applied on the road surface. In our case there wasn't a lot of moisture on the roads. Road bans generally go for 6 weeks but the RM of Weyburn has notified Saskatchewan Highways that we wish to opt out of the road ban."
The road bans were lifted effective midnight Monday morning.
Sterling says the road bans, "will be universal throughout the RM so we are lifting the road banks on all the roads on the RM." Sterling does ask the public to maybe wait to haul if the road is a little soft, to wait until it gets a little harder before trying to haul down that road.
