[Story updated with photos at bottom of page from the Canada Winter Games and a schedule for Wayne's first fight on Sunday night]

Wayne Ducharme moved to live with his father Clint Ducharme close to a year and a half ago. Wayne started boxing right after moving in with his father in Weyburn and fell in love with the sport immediately!

After just over a year of practicing and fighting, the Grade 11 student has under his belt, the Silver Glove Championship, Golden Glove Championship, and as of Thursday morning he will be on his way to the Canada Winter Games to represent Saskatchewan!!!

"As soon as I moved to Weyburn I joined the boxing club," explained Ducharme. "I grew up in Winnipeg and I came to live with my dad and right away I started boxing with him at the Soo Line Boxing Club."

Clint and Wayne will be catching the 7:30AM Saskatchewan team bus Thursday, February 14, and Wayne will be having his first fight (of potentially 3 or 4) at the Canada Games on February 17th, which can be viewed Live on the Canada Games official site.

Clint and Wayne managed to find the time in their busy training schedule to sit down with us for a video interview that can be viewed below. More information and a photo gallery below the video.
