In just over a week, the town of Bengough, population 350, will expand to hold thousands of music fanatics as they join together to welcome the legendary Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, 54-40, and Saskatchewan-born country star Jess Moskaluke alongside a wide variety of local musicians and future stars at Gateway Festival.

The 13th Annual Gateway Festival is set to be better than ever, with three stages of music and workshops, children's acitivities, the famous kids train, the "concert and culture crawl", along with many other events.

This year Gateway has invited three different talents from right here in Weyburn.

Drummer Rylan Chessall and his sidekick Joel Dirkson from St. Catherines, Ontario will also be making thier way to Bengough Park. These two met at music school in Liverpool, England and actually started their band as a joke which took off more seriously later on. Their new album 'Worst Case Ontario' is set to come out the same day as their Gateway performance. Click here to hear the entire interview:

Returning to the lineup for the fourth year is local hard rock band Small City Blues which consists of Adam Hoffart, Dalton Lemon, Austin Kot, Izac Keller and Evan Mass, who are looking forward to rocking the Garden Stage on Saturday, July 22nd at 12:40am. We we're able to sit down and chat with Adam and Dalton. Take a listen:

Rising country star Tenille Arts will also be making her second appearance at Gateway Festival when she will perform on the Garden Stage Friday, July 21st at 4:10 pm. If we're lucky we will catch 'Wildfire and Whiskey' and 'What He's Into' performed live. Tenille gave a performance at our Listener Appreciation BBQ, where we caught up with here. Click to hear what she has to say:

You also may have heard 'Life is a Highway' a few hundred times by the legendary Tom Cochrane, who will be headlining Saturday nights show along with Red Rider. We caught up with the man himself. Click to play:

Another great Canadian band taking the stage will be 54-40, who will be rocking out on the Main Stage Friday at 10:45 pm. Their song "Since When" got Gold status back in 1998, and the band has continued making alternative tunes with their latest albulm released in 2011. We caught up with lead singer Brad Merritt:

Saskatchewan-born country star Jess Moskaluke will also be making a performance at this years festival, performing on Friday on the Main Stage at 9:10 pm. Jess has been crazy busy, making an appearance at the Calgary Stampede, working with the Coors Banquet 'One Horse Town' Contest (which by the way will be coming to Moose Jaw with Jess Moskaluke in September) and now this party in the Big Muddy Badlands. Jess is very excited to be playing in her home province. Listen here:
