There's tons of fun lined up at the Soo Line Historical Museum. The museum is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm every day during the summer, and is open on Saturdays all year.  You can drop in for a tour whenever you wish, but they prefer that you call in if you have a large group.  There are also audio guides available to use as you wander through the museum.

One activity is the Caboose Program, which is an hour of fun and educational train-related activities.  You can prebook a single Wednesday session for your Soo Line Historical Museum kids' experience, or participate Wednesdays 10:30-11:30 am, free of charge.

The museum is also pairing up with the Weyburn Wheat Festival for the Pie Baking Contest on Friday August 10.  The categories are fruit pies, other, or young bakers ages 16 and under.  The deadline to enter a pie is 1:00 pm that day.  The judging will take place between 1:30-2:00, and the prizes will be given out from 2:00-2:30.  Each category will award a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner, and an overall winner will also be crowned.

The Wheat Festival Fun Day will take place on August 11.  There will be face painting and bouncy houses all afternoon.  You will be able to get some delicious treats from 306 Creamery and Melissa`s  Cotton Candy.  You can also catch the petting zoo and balloon sculpting, and there will be two opportunities to see the Dr. Finnystein`s Real Cool Energy Show.  Any kids that visit the museum before the Wheat Festival weekend will have their name entered into a draw for a 306 Creamery giftcard.  The draw will take place at the event.
