The WEYBURN PUBLIC LIBRARY (WPL) is hosting a SEED LIBRARY!

You can take out (up to) six packets of seeds.  You will find many choices of vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs, etc.

Get the seeds into the dirt, after frost, for most seeds.  There may be seeds that you will want to start indoors (ie:  vines like pumpkins & squash are best started 6-8 weeks before the last frost), to help with Saskatchewan's shorter summer season.

Tomatoes and peppers can be started indoors, but require much less of a growing season.

REMEMBER:  There needs to be enough sunlight (and warmth) once the seedlings arrive.  This may be easier to achieve if you wait until closer to the end of April to start the seeds.

You can harvest new seeds at the end of the season. You are invited to give some of your extra seeds to NEXT YEAR'S Seed Library

Visit the WPL social media FB page for updates, and more about their programming!
